Today I have the cutest little treat holder to share! This project is not only simple to create but can be customized with any Designer Series Paper, coordinating cardstocks, and a variety of fun stamp sets. Whether you’re crafting for a classroom, a friend, or a special someone, this heart-shaped treat holder is sure to impress.

To begin, I used the adorable Cute as Can Bee Designer Series Paper, cutting two squares at 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″. These squares are stacked together and then folded in half, creating a sharp crease with a bone folder. Using my paper snips, I cut out half of a heart shape along the fold. When the papers are opened up, they reveal two symmetrical hearts! The bottom points of the hearts are aligned and adhered together using Tear & Tape to hold them securely in place. When folded back, the two pieces come together to form a perfect heart shape.

For embellishments, I stamped “Happy Valentine’s Day” from the Bee My Valentine stamp set on a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock and punched it out using the 1-3/4″ circle punch. To secure the holder, I attached the punched sentiment to the front using dimensionals, allowing the heart-shaped sides to stay in place. To add extra charm, I used the Bee Builder Punch to cut out hearts from Basic Black cardstock and white glimmer paper, layering them with glue and dimensionals for dimension and sparkle.

I couldn’t stop at just one! I experimented with different sizes, trying 4 x 4 and 6 x 6 squares of DSP, and each version turned out just as delightful. The 4 x 4 version featured the Cute as Can Bee DSP again, this time with two Pool Party hearts and one glimmer white heart.

For the larger 6 x 6 version, I used Timeless Plaid DSP and switched up the sentiment to “You’re Pretty Wonderful” from the Mixed Labels stamp set, stamping in Early Espresso on Basic Beige cardstock. I punched it out with the Modern Oval Punch and created a shadow effect with additional Early Espresso cardstock layers. Some fun loops of Crumb Cake Essential Baker’s Twine finishes this holder perfectly. This larger version is perfect for holding a few more treats or even a gift card!

Another 6 x 6 version was created with the Thoughtful Journey DSP and the Pretty Peacock ink to stamp the sentiment of “Happy Birthday” from the Cake Celebrations stamp set. Once again, the Modern Oval Punch was used and this time Pretty Peacock layered around the punched element for a sweet shadow effect. A bit of White/Silver Sheer Ribbon behind the sentiment adds a delightful finishing touch!

This treat holder is as fun to make as it is to give! If you’d like to see the process in action, I have a video tutorial available to guide you step by step.
