Today, I have the sweetest pocket card to share! It’s kind of a fun fold, but also kind of not. I’ll let you decide. What I love most about this design is its versatility. It works with so many different papers, dies, punches, and stamp sets. I created four cards with this layout, and I can already see myself making many more. It comes together so easily, and it’s a fantastic way to use up little bits and pieces from your craft space.

I started with a Crumb Cake base—just a simple, single layer that provides the perfect foundation. Next, I layered on a bit of Designer Series Paper. I had a couple of sheets of Country Woods DSP already sitting on my desk, and to my delight, they were already cut to the perfect size. That made my decision easy!

To create the pocket, I cut one of the DSP sheets into a square and then diagonally. This piece was then layered onto a slightly larger Crumb Cake piece, also cut diagonally to match. I adhered it to the bottom left of the card front using Tear & Tape Adhesive along the two outer edges, forming a perfect pocket for a little card insert.

The mini card was created from Basic White cardstock, cut and scored in half. For the front, I layered Early Espresso and Crumb Cake, then topped it with an embossed piece of Basic White. This particular scrap was left over from Christmas and had been embossed with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder. It fit beautifully, making the design even more special. Inside, I layered Early Espresso and Basic White to keep the design cohesive.

For the sentiment, I stamped “Enjoy” from the Linked Together stamp set in Early Espresso and punched it out with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. To add a little extra detail, I taped some Essential Baker’s Twine in Crumb Cake to the back before using dimensionals to adhere the sentiment to the front of the mini card. The mini card tucks into the pocket perfectly, making this design both interactive and delightful.

Other versions of this card featured different papers and stamp sets. One was made with the Beautiful Bokeh DSP and the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set and dies, while another used the Meant to Bee stamp set and dies. If you have the Bee My Valentine stamp set and the Bee Builder Punch, those would work beautifully as well. I also created this layout in Misty Moonlight and Pool Party, with Misty Moonlight ink, proving just how adaptable this design is for any occasion.

I’m so excited about this pocket card layout and can already see myself using it over and over again. It’s perfect for both masculine and feminine cards, making it a go-to design in my collection. If you’d like to see exactly how I created this card, I have a video tutorial ready for you.
