Today’s card is a fun CASE (Copy And Share Everything) creation full of vibrant colors and playful textures, making it a joy to put together and even more exciting to send. It has a delightful mix of colors, guided by the Color Coach with a blend of Triadic (Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, and Daffodil Delight) and complementary (Cherry Cobbler and Melon Mambo) tones.

The base of the card begins with a deep Cherry Cobbler cardstock, providing a rich foundation. A Melon Mambo layer was stamped with a mix of images from the Meant to Bee stamp set, including flowers, hearts, waterdrops, and dots, all in Melon Mambo ink. This stamped panel was then adhered to the card base, setting the stage for the fun layers to come.

To add texture and depth, I embossed scraps of Coastal Cabana cardstock using the So Swirly embossing folder. A larger embossed piece was adhered flat to the left side of the card front, while a smaller strip was popped up with dimensionals and layered over the top, creating dimension and interest.

For the focal point, I turned to the Spotlight on Nature dies and cut a Basic White circle. The adorable bee from Meant to Bee took center stage, stamped in a combination of Daffodil Delight for the body, Memento Tuxedo Black for the stripes, stinger, antenna, and face, and Coastal Cabana for the wings. The die-cut bee panel was attached with dimensionals on one side and tape adhesive on the side resting on the raised Coastal Cabana strip, ensuring a balanced look.

No birthday card is complete without a heartfelt sentiment! “Hope Your Birthday is Wonderful” from the Hooray For Surprises stamp set was stamped in Coastal Cabana on a scrap of Basic White and adhered just below the bee. To finish the design, a few clear sequins were sprinkled across the card front for the perfect touch of sparkle. Inside the card, a panel of Basic White is framed by Melon Mambo cardstock, keeping the color scheme cohesive and bright.

I also created a video showcasing this card! Check it out below to see the full process and some extra tips for creating this fun design.
